Shanghai 1930s’ Road

The architectures in that road are all in 30s’ style. It was called “city within city” by president of Swiss Confederation Adolf Ogi.

Trams, old style letter-box, cart, hydrant, tobacco store are rebuilt to simulate traditional road scenery in Huaihai road in 1930s. And you will lost yourself in the toll of the custom, movie music, the voice of the carter and sound of great waves of Huangpu river on the road of 1930s.
“Historical monument”: preface of the exhibition. Both of the old style and new style symbolic architures are reflected in the central sculpture. You could touch the old and the new Shanghai from these exhibition.

“Historical & cultural city”: recalls you of Shanghai’s yesterday. In the 700 years, Shanghai developed from a fishing village to today’s metropolitan.

Shanghai has over 70 sites of historical interest and cultural relics under the protection of the state and the municipal governments, which best represent the distinctive characteristics of Shanghai regional culture.

Integrated planning exhibition:A model at 1:500, covering about 600m2, vividly demonstrates the design plan for the future Shanghai.

As ties between nature and urban residents, a 400- to 500-meter flower bridge crossing the Huangpu River will be set up specially. Green plant "corridors" vertical to the river will stretch from the river bank to the city's central region with a connotation of linking the past, present and future of Shanghai.
